The Tamburitzans is America's longest-running song and dance live show. Previously known as the Duquesne University Tamburitzans, it is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA and is a fully student-run organization. Since its formation in 1937 by Dr. A. Lester Pierce, the troupe has solidified its position as a preserver and patron of international cultural heritage. Through its folk-centric performances, it shines a light on art forms that would otherwise not reach the people of the country.
