Lettuce is a funk/jazz fusion collective based in New York City that was formed by a group of friends who met at Boston's Berklee College of Music during its summer music programs for high school students in the early 1990s. With each member of the collective coming from a background in rigorous music training, Lettuce prides itself on housing musicians that have the chops to pull off some of the smartest and funkiest jazz sets around. Boasting over a decade of experience impressing audiences with its members' tremendously energetic live shows, Lettuce's foray into recording shows the collective's excellent taste and sensitivity to musicianship in the studio as well.
