Like the classic 1980s power pop bands it draws inspiration from, TAB the Band couples big, beefy guitar hooks with catchy melodies and multi-part harmonies to create a tried-and-true version of rock and roll. The Massachusetts-based band has found a wealth of admirers on the modern rock scene, including Stone Temple Pilots, Modest Mouse and J Mascis, the latter of whom personally asked the group to open for his band Dinosaur Jr. Anyone with a soft spot for Beatles-esque melodies, jangly guitars and tambourine shakes will probably find plenty to love about TAB the Band's modern spin on power pop.
