With roots in rural Connecticut and the urban sprawl of Boston, lespecial rose in 2005 with its own dark, glitchy funk. Blending electronic dance music with hip-hop, metal and Latin funk, the band quickly established itself as a forward-thinking act that has no intensions of producing cooker-cutter EDM. lespecial released its debut record, the Ceremony EP, in 2013.
