Steerage Song showcases the emotional struggle as well as the ocean of hope that the immigrants carry with them as they traverse turbulent waters to get to America. Packed and smuggled in via the steerage of ships, the people sing of hope and the better days to come. The musical was created by Peter Rothstein and Dan Chouinard and was first seen as a concert performance in 2011 at the Fitzgerald Theater.
