The Silk Road Ensemble was founded by revered cellist Yo-Yo Ma in 1998 as an opportunity for musicians who play disparate instruments to build bridges of musical cultural collaboration. Having released several albums, its, 2016 LP, Sing Me Home, winning the Grammy for Best World Music Album, the Silk Road Ensemble continues to tour internationally and bring its message of sonic cohabitualization to audiences around the world.
