About
Shai Hulud is a hardcore punk band that was initially formed in Pompano Beach, Florida in 1995 before relocating to New York. With strong progressive metal influences, the band dropped its first studio album Hearts Once Nourished with Hope and Compassion, in 1997. Since its debut LP, the band has seen various lineup changes, with guitarist Matt Fox and bassist Matthew Fletcher as its only steady members. Despite these inconsistencies, Shai Hulud continues to release records such as 2003's That Within Blood III-Tempered and 2013's Reach Beyond the Sun.
