About
Based on a French play of the same name, La Cage aux Folles is a musical that took Broadway by storm in 1983. The story begins when a man decides to bring his fiance's ultra-conservative family to meet his father, the owner of a drag-queen friendly night club. As the club owner attempts to tone down his flamboyant and outlandish lifestyle, the young couple's impending marriage is threatened by the clashing of conservative and liberal ideals.
