About
Founded in 1964, this junior hockey team participates in the Western Hockey League's eastern division based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The team has been calling the ultra-modern SaskTel Centre their home since 1988 and has turned up for numerous editions of the Memorial Cup. The Saskatoon Blades made history during the 2008-09 season when they managed to win the most number of away wins by any team in a calendar year, getting their hands on the coveted East Division Championship. The Blades have also won the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy in 2011.
