About
Formed in 1971, Dr. Feelgood is a pub rock band from the UK that rose to fame during the mid 1970s. With a raw, new wave sound characterized by high energy performances, the band released its first LP, Down by the Jetty, in 1974. Following its 1976 critically acclaimed live album Stupidity, and a number of lineup changes, the band has progressed into a blues-rock outfit that combines 1980s hard rock with high pitched vocals and long guitar solos.
