Combining amazing vocal prowess with an affinity for covering rock and pop material, Rockapella is one of the most well-known a cappella projects in the world. The group formed in New York City in 1986, utilizing its members wide range of pitch perfect vocal registers to build tracks without the accompaniment of any musical instruments. In 1991, Rockapella found regular mainstream exposure by performing the theme song to the popular PBS kids game show, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? The show exposed many children--and some of their parents--to the world of a cappella in a fun, accessible way and propelled Rockapella forward in a career that has taken it across the globe to perform its unique spin on pop music.
