A pioneer of the grindcore genre, Repulsion emerged out of Flint, MI in 1984. Despite several breakups and reformations, the band has endured through its groundbreaking music, which takes the most abrasive elements of death metal and goregrind. Repulsion released only one records during its initial run, 1989's Horrified, but the album has been reissued several times, including once in 2006 by Southern Lord Records. Despite its lack of recorded material, Repulsion continues to play live shows to appease its devoted following.
