Kinky Boots is a musical theater production that features music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein. Adapted from the 2005 film of the same name, the production tells the true story of a down and out shoemaker and his unlikely new business partner, a drag queen named Lola, as they discover they have more in common than they initially think. Acclaimed for its earnest likability, Kinky Boots premiered on Broadway in 2013.
