About
Quiet Riot is an American heavy metal band that was originally founded in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni under the name Mach 1. Eventually going on to adopt the Quiet Riot moniker the group would go on to release a number of albums before Rhoades left to joint Ozzy Osbourne's band. However, Quiet Riot managed to achieve massive popularity with its 1983 album, Mental Health. Though the group has since gone through numerous line up changes and hiatus, including a prolonged one after lead singer Kevin DuBrow's accidental death from a cocaine overdose in 2007, the group continues to tour and release musich much to the adulation of its longtime fans.
