Initiated in 2013, the Peoria Rivermen is one of Illinois' premier ice hockey teams that play in the Southern Professional Hockey League. One of only three teams in the league that isn't based out of the southern United States, the Rivermen reside in the state-of-the-art Peoria Civic Center. Managed and coached by Jean-Guy Trudel, their stand-out players include Ben Oskroba, Alec Hagaman, Mike Gurtler and Dave Pszenyczny. Owned by CSH International Incorporated, the team has two consecutive regular-season titles to its name, winning them in 2014-15 and 2015-16.
