Salif Keita

Salif Keïta was born with albinism in Mali in 1949. While Keïta seamlessly meshes traditional West African music with European and American influences, he is able to maintain his soulful pitches rooted in Islamic style. After refining his style with years and years of touring, Keita released his first album, Seydou Bathili, in 1982.
