The Pussycat Dolls is an American pop, R&B and hip hop group formed in 1995 by Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, Asia Nitollano and Kaya Jones. The group, which began as a burlesque troupe in Los Angeles, is known for its ostentatious choreography and catchy songs. The Pussycat Dolls transitioned into a singing group in 2005 and was soon signed to a record deal. The group released its first album, PCD, in 2005.
