Pacifica Quartet is a professional string ensemble from Bloomington, Indiana that was formed in 1994. Known for its involvement with the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, the Pacifica Quartet is comprised of extremely adept musicians who're unafraid to display their prodigious talent, even if it means showboating a little bit. Having received Chamber Music America's revered Cleveland Quartet Award in 2002, the Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2006 in addition to being named "ensemble of the year" by Musical America in 2009, Pacifica Quartet has more than proven itself as one of the more capable and forward thinking string ensembles of its generation
