Pacific Curls is a vibrant fusion ensemble blending Celtic, Maori, and Pacific influences, composed of three talented musicians: Kim Halliday, Sarah Beatie, and Ora Barlow. Kim Halliday, a versatile multi-instrumentalist from New Zealand, infuses the group's music with her skillful playing of the cajon, kalimba, ukulele, and guitar, drawing inspiration from her extensive experience in the New Zealand music industry. Sarah Beatie, hailing from Aberdeenshire, Scotland, brings her deep connection to Scottish music to the ensemble, showcasing her unique fiddle playing characterized by fast and inventive tradition accompanied by her signature 'bass' chops. Ora Barlow, also from New Zealand, contributes her passion for tradition and improvisation through her musical skills on percussion, ukulele, and traditional Maori instruments, enriching the collaborative sound of the band. With a collective background spanning over numerous recording projects and diverse musical endeavors, Pacific Curls delivers a captivating and culturally rich musical experience.
