Hailing from Ann Arbor, MI, Orpheum Bell is known for their unique blend of Americana and Eastern European influences, which they aptly describe as "country & eastern." The band was formed when roommates Aaron Klein and Serge van der Voo connected with singer and multi-instrumentalist Merrill Hodnefield. With the addition of Shaun Williams and Annie Crawford, whose background in classical and Eastern European music enriched the group's sound, Orpheum Bell began captivating audiences locally in 2005. Their debut album, "Pretty as You," released in 2007, was followed by "Pearls" in 2009, showcasing their distinctive fusion of musical styles.
