About
Founded in 1985 by husband and wife Marshall Pynkoski and Lajuenesse Zingg, Opera Atelier is a Baroque opera company based in Toronto. Led by creative director Jane Hargraft, the company is housed at the Elgin Theatre and performs two operas from the 17th and 18th centuries per year. Opera Atelier has traveled to several international cities including London, Singapore, Tokyo, New York and Versailles with its period instruments and period costumes to bring a Baroque spirit to modern times.
