Kansas City Monarchs is a baseball team that represents Kansas City in the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball. The team was founded in 2003 as the Kansas City T-Bones, but was renamed as Kansas City Monarchs in 2021. As the T-Bones, it won its first league championship in 2008 against the Gary SouthShore RailCats.
