Nervous Cop, a unique drums and harp trio, brings together the formidable talents of Zach Hill, drummer for Hella, Greg Saunier, drummer for Deerhoof, and Joanna Newsom, keyboardist and harpist from The Pleased. Initially formed by Hill and Saunier, the collaboration expanded to include Newsom and electronic contributions from Deerhoof's John Dieterich. Their self-titled debut album, released in the fall of 2003 on 5 Rue Christine, showcased their experimental approach to music, blending elements of avant-garde rock with the ethereal sounds of the harp.
