Jaswinder Bhalla

Jaswinder Bhalla is an Indian comedian and actor. Born in Ludhiana, Punjab he completed his Ph.D. and worked as an Assistant Professor at Punjab Agricultural University before venturing into comedy. His first brush with comedy came in 1975 when he got selected as an artist for All India Radio (AIR). He set foot into the industry in 1988 with audio cassettes of the series Chhankata. The popularity of the cassettes earned him state-wide recognition. Today, he is considered one of the most famous personalities in Punjab. He has appeared in regional films like Mahaul Theek Hai, Jihne Mera Dil Luteya, Carry On Jatta and Jatt and Juliet, just to name a few.
