Murphy's Law is a New York City-based hardcore punk band that was formed in 1982. Capturing an audience with its debauchery-fueled brand of skate punk, the band released its eponymous debut album in 1986 with Profile Records. Despite suffering consistent lineup changes that have left lead vocalist Jimmy Gestapo as the only remaining founder, Murphy's Law continues to release a steady stream of albums in the 21st century, including the 2005 effort Covered.
