Mississippi Heat is a blues outfit that's led by prolific harmonica player Pierre Lacocque. The band emerged in 1991 and quickly found a niche for itself in the competitive music landscape of the US. Blending jazz and blues with modern electronics, the band has been acting as a bridge between the past and the future since the release of its first album, 1992's Straight from the Heart.
