Brooklyn-based band Milagres (Miracles in Portuguese) is one of the borough's most stand-out acts, garnering significant critical praise and signing to one of the city's most illustrious labels Kill Rock Stars. Nominally a pop band, Milagres writes tight, melodic indie pop that has fans nodding around Brooklyn DIY spaces, listening to the infections music Milagres creates. With glistening organs, electronic beats and soaring hooks the band has often been compared to Coldplay, but with a good deal more nuance than the UK mega band, Milagres will maintain an intimate, loyal following, Coldplay comparisons or not.
