Mike Moreno is a jazz guitarist and composer from Houston, Texas who first began his career in 2001 as a sideman before emerging as a band leader in 2007. Beginning his training at age 15 at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, when Moreno was 18, he moved to New York City to attend the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music on a scholarship. After graduating, Moreno immediately began serving as a guitarist with several prominent musicians like Meshell Ndegeocello and Wynton Marsalis who helped further shape and define his unique approach to playing.
