Born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Kevin Holness would eventually move to Boston at the age of nine. The Caribbean island left a strong impression on him though and eventually Holness would start to craft distinctive songs that pulled heavily from Jamaica's rich reggae music tradition. Adopting the musical moniker Mighty Mystic, Holness would release his debut album, Wake up the World, in 2010. Having since grown into one of the more recognizable figures on the modern reggae scene with continued album releases and an active touring schedule, Holness has also collaborated with big names from the reggae community including Shaggy and Lutan Fyah.
