Mattie Safer is a versatile multi-instrumentalist whose musical journey began in the vibrant New York City rock and punk scene. He honed his skills as a bassist, keyboardist, and vocalist with the boundary-pushing group The Rapture in the early 2000s, and currently contributes his talents to the daytime disco pioneers Poolside. With a rich background that includes international tours and collaborations with industry luminaries like James Murphy, Paul Epworth, Timbaland, and Danger Mouse, Safer brings a depth of real-world experience as a musician, songwriter, producer, and record label owner to his teaching endeavors.
