Maserati is a alternative rock band from Athens, GA that blends psychedelia with post rock. Utilizing only guitar, bass, and drums, the band manages to transcend the standard rock band instrumental lineup to create forward-thinking instrumental rock. Based in Brooklyn, the group self-released its debut album 37:29:24 in 2001, before singing to Kindercore and dropping The Language of Cities the following year. After several more releases, the band found a true industry champion in Temporary Residence records, who signed Maserati in 2007. The band has since dropped arguably its most successful LP, Pyramid of the Sun, in 2010.
