Mark Farner is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who is well-known as the lead singer and guitarist for Grand Funk Railroad. Though he has moved away form the blue-inspired hard rock of his former band, he continues to make music as a contemporary Christian musician. He released his self-titled debut album in 1977 and has since made a name for himself with his funk-induced, religious songwriting.
