Marilyn McCoo is a singer, actress and television personality who is best-known as the original lead female vocalist in the group The 5th Dimension. After singing with the band between the 1966 and 1975, she partnered up with her husband and fellow band-mate Billy Davis, Jr. and the two artists operated as a duo for the next several years. After they decided to pursue solo endeavors in the early 1980s, McCoo went on to host the music countdown series Solid Gold, and tried her hand at acting on television and on stage.
