Diabolic was formed in Tampa, Florida in 1998 by Aantar Lee Coates (drums) and Brian Malone (guitar). After signing its first record deal, the band released its debut album, Supreme Evil, in 1999, founding member, Coates, went on to form another band called Unholy Ghost, but returned to Diabolic in 2004.
