Dead by Sunrise is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California, that was formed in 2005. Chester Bennington (Linkin Park's lead singer and songwriter) was composing songs, but felt that they were not appropriate for Linkin Park’s style. Inspired by his new music, he decided to start a side project. Ryan Shuck, Amir Derakh, Brandon Belsky, Elias Andra and Anthony Valcic completed the new group. In 2009, the band released its debut album, Out of Ashes.
