La La La Human Steps is contemporary dance company from Quebec that was founded by Édouard Lock in 1980 under the name Lock-Danseurs. Since its debut series of performances at the Eskabel Theatre in Montreal, the company has become known for its acrobatic choreography and energetic movement. Its combination of contemporary and ballet structure, as well as its use of music and cinematic elements has earned the company a reputation for making audiences rediscover the human body. La La La Human Steps has collaborated with several renounced musicians, including David Bowie, David Lang and Frank Zappa, and has established itself as one of the world's most recognizable dance ensembles.
