Kurt Rosenwinkel is a jazz guitarist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After leaving Berklee School of Music to tour with Gary Burton, the school's dean at the time, he landed in Brooklyn and honed his performing skills throughout the 1990s in groups like Human Feel and Paul Motian's Electric Bebop Band. Rosenwinkel released his debut album as leader of the Kurt Rosenwinkel Trio, East coast Love Affair, in 1996, and has since continued to lead his own outfits while working as an ardent sideman with artists like Charlie Peacock and Brian Blade.
