Kristen Schaal is an actress and comedian who might best be known for appearing on the TV shows Flight of the Conchords, 30 Rock and The Daily Show. Born in rural Longmont, Colorado, to blue collar parents, Schaal developed a keen sense of humor at a young age and would eventually move to New York to pursue a professional career in comedy. Going on to establish herself as a formidable comedic talent on the New York stand-up scene, Schaal would eventually go on to receive roles in various films and TV programs, but her keen understanding of satire and poignant lampoonery has kept her a stalwart staple of the Big Apple's stand-up community.
