Kittie is a heavy metal band from London, Ontario that formed in 1996 by drummer Mercedes Lander and lead guitarist Fallon Bowman. The two musicians were joined by Mercedes' sister Morgan Lander as lead vocalist/guitarist and Tanya Candler on bass. The four-piece all-girl band released its debut album Slip, in 1999 before replacing Candler with Talena Atfeild. Kittie has undergone several lineup changes while consistently releasing studio albums including the 2001 effort Oracle, and 2004's Until the End. The band's fourth album Funeral For Yesterday, released in 2007, was the first album released through Kittie's new label, Kiss of Infamy Records. After touring Europe and the US for most of 2010 to promote its album In the Black, Kittie recorded and released its sixth studio album I've Failed You, in 2011.
