Poor Yella Rednecks is the story of a Vietnamese family trying to settle down in America. Having chosen Arkansas as their future home, the family experiences a great culture shock as they soon come to realize how their life is going to so much more different than what they were used to back in Vietnam. An autobiographical story written by Qui Nguyen, the play is a follow up to the much acclaimed piece Vietgone.
