Steeped in classic singer/songwriter material that she couples with a modern edge and an ear for experimentation, Julia Easterlin is an up-and-coming musician from Boston. Though she was trained on a full scholarship at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Easterlin's music isn't overly showy, complicated or impressed with itself. Instead, she pens beautifully sparse folk-tinged songs that are built around her soaring vocals, which she loops live on stage to create unique makeshift harmonic arrangements. Besides her own original material, Easterlin has developed a reputation for her inspired cover choices, creatively reworking tracks from the likes of Radiohead, The Pixies and Britney Spears.
