Tyler Rix International Saxophonist and Composer Signed to Universal Records in his early teens, Rix’s debut album ‘Ascent’ went straight to number one in the Classics and Jazz Chart - aged just 16. He has gone on to perform at venues across the globe such as: The Anhembi Centre (São Paulo), The Yacht Club (Monaco), Birdland Jazz Club (NYC), The Royal Albert Hall (London), The Millennium Centre (Cardiff) and as a guest soloist for the BBC Concert Orchestra, live on BBC Radio 2. Rix has been invited to perform at some of the most prestigious events around the world, including The Monaco Grand Prix, The NFL, the UEFA Euros, The House of Lords Commonwealth Conference, The London Olympics, The Opening of the Athlete’s Village, The Mayor of London’s Olympic handover to Brazil, Silverstone’s F1 Drivers Lounge, Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour Afterparty, The Run To Supercar Adventure on Yacht Katina (Croatia’s largest super yacht), the St George’s Day Celebrations in Trafalgar Square and the Clipper Round The World Yacht Race Finale at The Royal Docks. As well as public performances, Rix regularly performs at high end luxury events for private clients. Some of Tyler’s favourite performances include: British Airways at the Taste Of London, Volkswagen at the Brazilian Autoshow (66 shows), Sainsbury’s Christmas Party supporting Anne Marie, Graff Diamonds at the Mayfair Hotel, the Bicester Village Christmas Party at Blenheim Palace, The Tunnel Club at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the opening of the Searcy’s Bar on the top floor of The Gherkin. Tyler’s charity work includes guest appearances at The Bobby Moore fund (The Guildhall), Epilepsy UK (The Orbit, Olympic Park) and The Elton John Foundation (The Rosewood Hotel). Known for his incredible ear, Rix can play over any style of music. From tropical house, old school funk, soul, jazz, Ibiza classics and dance; to world music, traditional Israeli music and pop hits. Rix can perform as a solo act, alongside a DJ or with a live band. As a classically trained musician and composer of music for TV / film / soundtracks having studied at the Guildhall School Of Music, Trinity Laban and the National School of Television and Film for over 10 years combined; Rix has captivated audiences across the globe with his beautifully haunting sax and orchestral arrangements as well as emotional power ballads sung on the sax and is currently working on his second solo saxophone album, due to be released in 2024. Away from music, Rix was scouted by leading model agencies Premier Models and Elite London and has walked the catwalk for the likes of Versace at Milan Fashion Week, Issey Miyake at Paris Fashion Week, Ted Baker and Superdry at London Fashion Week as well as being featured in both GQ and Vogue. Combining music with fashion, Rix has performed at the 'Winq Magazine Man Of The Year Awards' and the 'Attitude Awards’ in recent years and continues to showcase the versatility of the saxophone as his voice.
