John Michael Montgomery is a country singer/songwriter from Danville, Kentucky who first started performing with his brother Eddie, who's one-half of the popular country duo Montgomery Gentry, before launching his solo career in the early 1990s. Montgomery released his debut album, Life's a Dance, in 1992 and has since managed to release LPs on a regular basis. With a heart-felt, feel-good style, Montgomery has managed to build a solid reputation as a stalwart act on the modern country music scene.
