American stand-up comedian Janine Brito is one of the most well-known comics to have originated from San Francisco's booming comedy scene. Born in Florida, she lived her childhood in Scotland and Hong Kong before moving back to the United States. She started dabbling in comedy after earning her business degree and was initially based out of St. Louis, MS. Her comedy is a mix of snark and wit, and draws from her experiences growing up in a half-Cuban household. In addition to comedy, Brito has made a name for herself as a writer and actor. She has worked in the TV series One Day at a Time and Bless the Harts.
