Jaga Jazzist

Jaga Jazzist is an experimental jazz ensemble from Oslo, Norway that borrows elements of nu jazz, acid jazz, hip-hop, rock and electronica to create its own cohesive sound. With somewhat of a revolving lineup, the group released its debut LP in 1996. Having since encompassed over two dozen different musicians, Jaga Jazzist settled into a nine-piece lineup toward the end of the 2000s while maintaining its modern, avant-garde sound through records such as the 2010 studio album, One-Armed Bandit.
