It Prevails is a hard rock band from Portland, Oregon that specializes in blending a defined melodic hardcore style with vintage classic rock refinement to create a innovative and surprisingly cohesive whole. Formed in 2004, the group toured the United States for the first few years after its inception--providing an opportunity for the band to refine its sound and polish its musical approach--before entering the studio to record its 2007 debut album, The Inspiration. Though It Prevails has gone through a number of lineup changes over its existence, the band has nevertheless carried on undaunted and it continues to record and tour fairly regularly.
