Hickoids

Formed in the mid-1980s and based out of Central Texas, the cowpunk stalwart Hickoids has managed to encapsulate a sound so well that those familiar with the band's characteristic sound would be hard-pressed to confuse the group's idiosyncratic sonic signature with any other band out there. Blending the oftentimes contradictory styles of punk and country, the Hickoids helped define a sound and genre that emerged out of Texas in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Though the band has seen its fare share of ups and downs, both in terms of its popularity and group dynamic, the Hickoids is still standing and intent on bringing its unique music to any audiences that are willing to lend their ears.
