Kingsport Mets was one of the most recognizable teams of the Appalachian League, having been a part of it for a century. The former Rookie-level affiliate of the New York Mets, the team, boasts seven League titles and five division titles. The team was also known for its ability to produce great talent, with the likes of Kevin Mitchell, Darryl Strawberry and Lastings Milledge, having started their careers at the Hunter Wright Stadium.
