Founded in 1974, Elizabethton Twins was a Minor League Baseball team that represented the city of Elizabethton, Tennessee in the Appalachian League. A former Rookie affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, it was one of the league's heavyweights with 12 League titles and 15 Division titles to its name. Apart from being one of the top rookie teams, it was also known to be a breeding ground for talent, with Kirby Puckett, Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau and Butch Wynegar having started their careers here.
