It’s rare to find a band that uses live instrumentation to make semi-legitimate electronic music. Most bands are afraid of crossing into territory that renders instruments like guitars and drums obsolete, but Infected Mushroom pushes the boundaries of what a live band can accomplish in the confines of its members' instruments. The group was founded in Israel in 1996 and progressed towards a sound that incorporates elements of heavy metal and electronic music to create an entirely original sound that many have referred to as psytrance.
